If you get a web hosting plan from us and if you take advantage of our email services, you will be able to activate anti-spam protection for any of the email accounts that you create from the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. With only a few clicks of the mouse, you can pick between 5 separate safety levels. In case you start getting spam, you can begin with the lowest level and then gradually increase the level till you stop getting spam. We use one of the best and most popular spam filters available called SpamAssassin. It ‘scans’ the header field and the body of every email message that you get and calculates a spam score, based on which it either erases a given email or allows it to reach your mailbox. The Hepsia Control Panel will also permit you to activate custom email filters and either get rid of undesirable messages or re-send them to a third-party email address such as firstname.lastname@example.org where you can view them once more at a later time.
Spam Filters in Semi-dedicated Hosting
In case you use one of our Linux semi-dedicated hosting packages, you won’t need to worry about unsolicited bulk messages clogging your mailboxes every once in a while, as you can take advantage of the famous SpamAssassin filter that we provide with every semi-dedicated server account. Our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel will allow you to activate the filter for any email account with several clicks of the mouse and you can choose one of the 5 security levels – from very high to very low. The level can be altered at any time if, for example, legitimate messages get blocked, or if spam messages go through and reach your inbox. To be on the safe side, you can choose all filtered emails to be re-sent to a special email account such as email@example.com and not to be deleted. In this way, you can go through them from time to time to make certain that you have not missed out on a legitimate email message.
